When you shoot alone, straining to capture a "vision", the quiet, peaceful environment can take your mind places you wouldn't normally go. I think sometimes a poem helps to fully express the photographer's intent. Sometimes poetry starts to come to me before I've even left the spot and packed up my gear. I find it an interesting mental exercise to revisit the photographic moments after you get home and try and capture the emotion of the scene into words. I hope the words below are able to speak to you.

I close my eyes
For clarity
The real world lacks
Sincerity

For a moment
I am alone
To seek the truth
Success unknown

In foggy times
With thoughts unclear
Look for purchase
Not far but near

For sticking close
To what you know
Will keep you up
And not below
