"Thorofare Mountain Overlook at Dawn"

The original plan was to hike down to White Oak Canyon and be at the waterfall for sunrise, but that plan had to be scrapped when I got to the trail head in the dark and realized I had forgotten to pack a flashlight. Duh. So what to do while waiting for enough light? I got back on Skyline drive and headed back up north to the Thorofare Mountain Overlook. Only after the sun lit up the sky a little more did I go back down to the trail and start my descent. Even though I got started later than I planned I still had enough time to hike down to the waterfalls before any direct sunlight came through. I'll post photos of White Oak Canyon later.
