The new calendar is available for download. This month's photo is taken along Maryland's eastern shore on the Assawoman Bay. This evening view captures over 3 hours of exposure, from the last light of sunset through the starlight of full darkness. It was the first time I'd even tried to capture star trails before the sky was totally dark and I thought the results were rather nice. This location on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay is a beautiful park with hiking trails and excellent access to a nice beach. The park also allows guests to bring their canine friends, which is a plus (at least for me!)
